However the total population of the entire county Nashville is 1,550,733 thus making it as the largest metropolitan area in terms of population.

Nashville's J. Percy Priest Lake and Old Hickory Lake offer recreational activities for the family to enjoy such as boating, fishing, hunting, camping and picnics.
