Ocho Ríos is usually called Ochi, it is a Spanish term for Eight Rivers, found in the northern coast of Jamaica. It has about 96,000 residents and it is considered one of the fastest growing towns in the Caribbean.
The place was once a fishing village until it was discovered and developed then became a popular tourist destination in the Caribbean as well as a famous stop for cruise ships. It offers white sands and crystal clear waters expected of a Caribbean island, it is well known for scuba diving and other water sports. Waterfalls and rainforests can also be found in this place.
Ocho Ríos is also known for its Dunn´s River Falls, a popular attraction wherein the water cascades down in approximately 695 feet into the sea, tourists take pleasure in climbing the natural staircase of the falls. Other fabulous attractions are the Coyoba River Gardens, Fern Gull, and the Dolphin Cove.
