Stowe Hotels - OnlineTravelComparison
Stowe is a quaint town located in Lamoille County in north central Vermont. It situated in the Green Mountains. The community is named after a village in Stowe, England.

Incorporated in 1896, Stowe serves as one of the major ski resorts in the whole of New England, as well as the commercial center for the area. The highest point in the town measures 4,393 feet, a mountain called Mount Mansfield.

Stowe is packed with tourists especially in the winter months when Mount Mansfield is blanketed with snow perfect for skiing and snowboarding. Cross-country skiing is a favorite among tourist and locals. However, Stowe is also a great place to go in the summer and autumn months as the town provides equally engaging activities like horseback riding, hiking, and biking. Aside from Mt. Mansfield, other attractions include the Vermont Ski Museum and the Boyden Valley Winery Tours.

Stowe also features several museums and galleries, as well as many performance artists who visit the town and then eventually stay for good.
