Rollaway Beds in Hotels

Rollaway Beds in Hotels

Extra Beds for Guests

There are times when a room just cannot accommodate another extra person. There are also times when unexpected guests just show up at a guest´s hotel room, leaving them no bed available. In these situations, guests call for the use of an extra bed and in hotels, the rollaway bed is the winner.

The Rollaway Bed

A rollaway bed is a bed on rollers that allow for easy transportation to different rooms in the hotel. The rollaway bed is always the last bed of choice especially when there is just no more bed in a room available for an extra guest to stay. Guests have to pay for an extra bed, in this case a rollaway bed, whenever it is ordered to be placed in a room.

Comfort of a Rollaway Bed

A rollaway bed is an extra bed and is therefore not as comfortable as the primary beds already available in the hotel room. However, hotels always prioritize the comfort of their guests, extra or not, and so they try to make the rollaway bed as appealing and as comfortable as possible. This is evident in the use of linens and mattress on a rollaway bed. Even if it is an extra bed, the mattress used is of fine quality and the same linens are used as with the primary beds. In fact, extra rollaway beds are prepared and made to look as similar as possible to the primary bed present in a hotel room.

Considerations of a Rollaway Bed

The use of a rollaway bed can be limited. One of the limitations that apply is the size and space of the hotel room. The hotel room the guest is staying must be able to accommodate a rollaway bed in order for it to be placed in the room and still offer comfort for all the guests staying in the room.

If a room is too crowded or too small, a rollaway bed is sometimes not allowed depending on the hotel policy. The number of rollaway beds requested is also limited in most hotels. Just as the number of guests permitted to stay in a hotel room, the number of rollaway beds requested is also limited. This applies if the room gets too crowded or if the guest cannot afford too much rollaway beds to be placed in his or her hotel room. Guests should remember that for every rollaway bed placed in his or her room, he or she will be charged extra.

The Four Seasons Las Vegas is truly a remarkable place. At first I didn´t think it was possible to escape the sounds of a typical Las Vegas evening, but I was wrong. Don´t get me wrong I like coming to Las Vegas for the gambling, food, and pure people watching entertainment
