Top 10 Hotels by Theme

Oddball Hotels with Themes

Sometimes, travelers tend to get tired of the ordinary architecture and design of most hotels. No matter how accommodating or luxurious a hotel might be, there are still times when all a traveler wants is something out of the ordinary and even slightly odd. Usually, a popular travel destination always has at least a single oddball hotel that goes with a wacky or eccentric theme.

Top 10 Theme Hotels

Las Vegas is undeniably one of America's favorite travel destinations. With its wide array of entertainment that is offered in many forms, it is not surprising that Americans and foreigners alike are flock to the city all year round. It is also not quite startling that Las Vegas is the home to many theme hotels that are quite out of the ordinary.

The top ten most prominent hotels in Las Vegas that go by an uncommon theme include The Venetian, Caesars Palace, New York-New York, Mandalay Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, Rio, Treasure Island, Aladdin, Paris Las Vegas and Excalibur.

The Venetian is a fancy casino resort that recently opened another branch in Macau, China. It houses a Grand Canal that mimics the gondola experience one would only get to experience in Venice, Italy. Caesars Palace is also one of the most prominent theme hotels in Las Vegas. It opened in 1966 and since then, it is regarded as one of the most luxurious hotels where cocktail ladies wear toga-like costumes and guests can gaze at the amazing floating lounge – the Cleopatra's Barge.

Mandalay Bay recreates the Southeast Asian feel with its flourishing tropical foliage matched with temples and pagodas. In New York-New York, guests are catapulted to the bustling city life of the Big Apple with the replica of the Statue of Liberty towering over the place. The hotel is also situated at the busiest intersection in the area which only raises the bar in excitement and awe that the hotel offers to its guests. The other themed hotels such as Rio and Paris Las Vegas are also designed to bring the guests to other popular travel destinations without ever taking their feet off from Las Vegas.

The Hard Rock Hotel, popularly identified by its signature of a guitar sign with a chandelier paired with saxophone pendants, is brimming with rock and roll memorabilia that has been collected over time. Aladdin and Excalibur are also great themed hotels that replicate the scenes and settings of Thousand and One Nights and the Legend of King Arthur and his Knights respectively.

The Four Seasons Las Vegas is truly a remarkable place. At first I didn´t think it was possible to escape the sounds of a typical Las Vegas evening, but I was wrong. Don´t get me wrong I like coming to Las Vegas for the gambling, food, and pure people watching entertainment
